2/16/2017 huffingtonpost.com: U.S. Gets A Taste Of Life Without Immigrants In Nationwide Protests

I'm certainly glad I read liberal web sites:

        ".... shuts down businesses nationwide."
".... show how critical they are to the U.S. economy."
".... a taste of life without immigrants".

Without doing so I would not have been aware of the magnitude of this protest.

But wait.... I was out and about in my suburban Midwest city on the 16th of February. I saw no protests. No business closures. All the usual suspects for immigrant employment (restaruants, hotels, convenience stores, home construction / maintenance projects, etc.) appeared to be 'business as usual'. I guess the immigrant population around here either didn't get the word or value a day's pay over contrived liberal immigration issues.

Liberal media continues to exaggerate the impact of anti-Trump protests. Not really 'fake news', since evidently there were protests somewhere, but certainly over-hyped accounts of the protests to make it appear the protests were of any significiance.

And yet again I address the word 'immigrant'. There are two distinct classes of immigrant. Legal and illegal. Legal immigration into the U.S. is a good thing. Whether a grounds worker in Palm Springs, Ca. or a software engineer in Boston, Ma. legal immigrants, as a whole, have a positive economic impact. Illegal immigrants have a negative impact (1). To the simple minded progressive community; Legal immigration good - illegal immigration bad.
