Byerley says that the first thing those in middle America need to realize is that "no educated person wants to live in a shithole with stupid people."

OK. Let me see if I have this right. Melinda Byerley, founding partner and CEO of TimeShareCMO, chooses to headquarter her company in a city, San Francisco, that;

And she calls middle America a "shithole"?

I live in a middle America city. I've never had to step over a pile of shit on the sidewalk or kick aside a syringe. I walk outside and breath clean air (2). I have never been confronted by an aggressive/rude homeless person (3). Compared to where Ms. Byerley chooses to live and work, middle America is "Nirvana".

Were I to give Ms. Byerley the benefit of a doubt I would say she is simply a very disturbed person. That somehow the code in the part of her temportal lobe that controls reasoning got scrambled. Thus she is to be pitied. It's more likely, however, that with the election of President-elect Trump, her arrogance will not permit her to tolerate the rejection of her progressive ideology by those she considers to be her intellectual inferiors, the 'stupid people in middle America'.

For eight years middle America has endured being labeled racist, sexist, bigot and about every type of phobic one can imagine. We've teared as liberals have split our nation apart along ethnic, racial and political lines. For the most part we have handled this with dignity and political decorum while remaining steadfast in our beliefs and commitments. But on November 8, 2016 we said "ENOUGH!"

To Ms. Byerley I say; Suck it up bitter buttercup. And before you head out the door, put your galoshes on so you won't soil your Louis Vuitton pumps. Smear a bit Vicks under your nose to mask the urine and feces odors. Strap on your air pollution mask and make sure you have pepper spray in your Hermes handbag.

And please, in your travels, fly over middle America. We'd prefer to not incur the expense to roll a hazmat team should you step foot on Heartland soil.
