6/06/2016 washingtonpost.com: Hillary Clinton Just Clinched the Democratic Nomination

Trump vs. Clinton. Don't like it but it appears to be a done deal. My charge now is to take my personal feelings about each candidate off the table and focus on their positions on the issues that are important to me.

Currently my top 10, subject to change and not necessarily in order, are as follows.

Economy: Present policies that will provide for a 3.5 to 4.0 percent GDP annual growth rate.
Education: Get the federal government out of the business of educating our K-12 students.
Gun Rights: The United States has sufficient gun regulation. No more. Effectively implement existing regulations.
National Debt: Present policies that will increase revenues through economic growth and tax reform.
Illegal Immigration: Present a feasible plan to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States.
Military: Rebuild and maintain our military superiority. Peace through strength.
Veterans: The VA health care system and benefits problems are well documented. Fix them.
Foreign Policy: Our adversaries no longer fear us. Our allies no longer trust us. This must change.
Government Overreach: Curtail federal government intrusion into areas not specifically granted it in the constitution.
Culture Wars: The last two administrations have torn us apart as a nation. Bring us together.

Time to end the personal attacks. No more "Hillary Clinton Says Donald Trump Is Acting Like a Demagogue". No more "Trump: Clinton Is 'Selling Herself' to Wall Street Fat Cats". Time to hear each candidate's priorities and how they intend to address them. Not from speeches tailored to special interest groups, but from press conferences, national media interviews and the upcoming presidential debates.
