"In his recent article, Dov Lipman invoked American values and warned us of "hypocrisy" if we don't support "Israel's right to defend itself." But he forgot our core value: freedom."

Freedom is not the Palestinian core value. By electing Hamas as its governing body in 2006 Gaza Palestinians adopted the Hamas Covenant of 1988 as its core value. And that core value has nothing to do with freedom. Only destruction.

From the Hamas Covenant of 1998:

'Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.'

'There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are but a waste of time, an exercise in futility.'

'The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.' - The Profit Mohammad

The only freedom the Gaza Palestinian governing authority, Hamas, is concerned with is the freedom to destroy Israel by any means possible.
