12/13/2013 huffingtonpost.com: Media Matters Declares Victory: 'The War On Fox Is Over'
"The war on Fox is over," said Media Matters Executive Vice President Angelo Carusone. "And it's not just that it's over, but it was very successful. To a large extent, we won."

Victory? Very successful? We won? Consider the following:

10/30/2013 thewarp.com: Cable News Ratings: Fox Dominates October, CNN's 'AC 360' Climbs Year-to-Year:
Fox took first place in total day and primetime for the month - not particularly surprising, since the network has held the top spot in both categories for 142 consecutive months.

11/27/2013 huffingtonpost.com: November 2013 Cable News Ratings: MSNBC Tops CNN; Numbers Down From Last Year:
Fox News dominated the ratings chart once again this month, coming out on top for both primetime and total day for the 143rd consecutive month.

The progressive mentality of, "My minds made up, don't confuse me with the facts", and, "If you can't dazzle 'em with your brilliance, baffle 'em with your bullshit", continues to absolutely astound me.

Since its founding in 2004 Media Matters' primary mission has been to discredit Fox News. David Brock, founder of Media Matters, is quoted as once saying he would wage "guerilla warfare and sabotage" against Fox News". But since 2004 Fox News has dominated ratings in every time slot and every age demographic. Looks like George Soros ran into something his money can't buy. That something is truth and the intelligence of the American public. Fox News is by no means prefect. As a credible news source and political commentator, however, it stands head and shoulders above the competition.

With its declaration, "The War On Fox Is Over", Media Matters has admitted defeat in its primary mission. No amount of spin can even remotely suggest otherwise. And that is a good thing.
