So sad. But it must be true. Can't be the advertised Thanksgiving Day "deals" one gets by shopping on Thanksgiving Day.

Sad when "social experience/connection" has evolved from sand lot ball, drinks with co-workers after work on Friday, neighborhood block parties and concerts in the park to "the mad rush of shoppers who really love the retail experience and the thrill of the hunt".
Full disclosure: I'm the old uncle at the dinner table that was raised at a time when if you didn't have it by close of business on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day you were not going to get it until the following Friday.
