Dianne Feinstein: 'Gun People' Hold A 'Hammerlock' On Gun Control Reform
Return To Archive

Not so Senator. The United States Constitution holds a 'Hammerlock' on gun control reform.

Argue what you will about the second amendment's use of the term "A well regulated Militia...", the following quotes by American founding fathers make clear the intent of "... the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed".

"A free people ought to be armed." - George Washington

"Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." - James Madison

"And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the Press, or the rights of Conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms; ..." - Samuel Adams

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." - Thomas Jefferson

"The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed." - Alexander Hamilton

"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property... Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them." - Thomas Paine

Please lady, retire. Take your $70 million net worth and enjoy life. And while you're at it take the other progressive minded congressional one-percenters with you. Y'all have done enough harm to my country.
